Job description

Normec Certification deals with environmental assessments in accordance with the EEG, certification of energy management systems, and the sustainability of biomass in the areas of electricity, heat, and fuel. We want to make the world a little better through our work. That's why we are looking for a permanent employee to join our team in Ahaus, Berlin, Leichlingen, or remotely, starting immediately or as soon as possible. Full-time or freelance.

Step Into the Role

As an auditor, you will be responsible for auditing our customers according to external specifications. If you are not yet an auditor, we will support you in obtaining certification. The basic requirement is at least four years of professional experience in the field of occupational safety, environmental, or energy management. Comparable areas, such as working as an energy consultant, are also acceptable. The Normec Fit

  • You have a degree in a technical or similar field, for example with a focus on environmental, energy, or engineering technology.

  • You enjoy working with customers.

  • You are proficient in the common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • You have a class B driver's license.

  • Ideally, you already have some experience as an auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, or 50001) or have completed auditor training (possibly in other areas as well).

  • You enjoy field work.

Your responsibilities

  • You plan audit appointments in consultation with the customer

  • You check the documents submitted by customers

  • You take charge of on-site audits, for example as a lead auditor in the energy management system in accordance with DIN ISO 50001, partly also via remote access and as a desk audit

  • If you are interested and have the relevant expertise, auditing in the area of sustainability certification in accordance with RED II (SURE and REDCert) or in the area of EEG as an environmental verifier is also possible

  • You will assess the conformity of our customers' management systems with regard to energy and prepare corresponding audit reports in accordance with formal and content-related specifications

  • You will be responsible for the preparation and follow-up of the audits

  • You will be in contact with our customers, relevant system providers, and authorities
